At BancABC, we believe in making education and professional development accessible to the vast pool of young talent in Africa.
That is why, since 2003,
we have been running the BancABC Graduate Programme.
The
programme is designed to train and
produce quality leaders for the benefit of BancABC and the African
continent.
How the Programme works
We recruit outstanding
graduates, place them on a two-year rotational programme and equip them
for
future leadership in both wholesale and retail banking. During this
period,
they are exposed to both experiential and applied learning
opportunities, which
are designed to build their competency in the business world while
preparing
them for future leadership.
The graduates are
supported by mentorship and coaching initiatives to guide them
throughout the programme.
As a result, the programme has constantly produced competent young
leaders who
have the technical as well as business skills to run banking
corporations.

Leadership Development
Programmes for working
managers
Effective leadership is one of the key factors in determining the success of a business. It’s for this reason that BancABC has partnered with the Gordon Institute of Business Science in Johannesburg in the introduction of the three tiers of leadership development programmes. These programmes empower managers at foundational, middle and executive levels to better understand the changing face of our economic and social environments. The managers get to experience, learn and gain additional insights into current thinking around leadership and best practice.
Each programme is uniquely customised in collaboration with BancABC, focusing on the critical components of leadership development. Those taking part in the Executive programme are each allocated a coach who will collaborate and assist candidates to implement the principles covered in the curricula. Each level includes a tangible assessment to ensure that the return on investment to the business and individuals is measurable.
After the completion of the programmes, we formulate career development plans and assign mentors to each candidate. This is our way of ensuring that the path towards leadership is continually nourished and expanded.
