Sanjeev (New Delhi 1957, First-Class Honors degree in Commerce and Chartered Accountant) has over 35 years' experience as Executive banker, of which 25 years with Citibank (since 1982) where he held a number of senior positions across Asia, Europe, America and Africa like CEO of Zambia and Uganda and Executive Director of Citibank Nigeria besides being an industry specialist in airlines and aerospace,

Sanjeev Anand was Managing Director of I&M Bank Rwanda Limited (previously Banque Commerciale du Rwanda - BCR) and. managed the transition of ownership of the bank from Actis to the I&M consortium, comprising I&M Bank, DEG and PROPARCO with many awards like 'Best Bank in Rwanda' for four years 'Most Technology Innovative Company', etc. Early 2016 he became Managing Director BPR Rwanda followed by his current position since mid-2017 of Group Managing Director for Banking Operations Atlas Mara.

Sanjeev is also deputy Chairman of Rwanda Sovereign Fund and has been Chairman of Rwanda Bankers Association, President of the Rwanda Leasing Association, deputy President of Uganda Institute of Bankers, a member of the Steering Committee of East African Community and membership of the BASEL task force to set up stock exchanges in Zambia and Uganda.
